How difficult is the SSSTS course?
The SSSTS course is designed for working professionals and is not overly difficult, but it does require active participation. As long as you engage with the material and pay attention during the training, you should be able to pass.
What is the SSSTS pass mark?
To pass the SSSTS course, you must score at least 80% (24 out of 30 marks) on the final multiple-choice test. Participation in case studies and group exercises is also assessed. If you don’t pass the exam on your first attempt, you may be eligible for a resit.
How long is the SSSTS qualification valid for?
The SSSTS qualification is valid for five years. After this period, you will need to complete a one-day SSSTS Refresher course to maintain your certification.
What happens if my SSSTS certificate expires?
If your SSSTS certificate expires, you must retake the full two-day course rather than the refresher. It’s recommended to renew before the expiry date to avoid having to complete the full course again.
What is the difference between SSSTS and SMSTS?
SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) is for supervisors and those overseeing workers on-site.
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) is a more advanced course designed for site managers and project managers with higher-level responsibilities.
